The Rafiq Azam Travel Bursary is annually awarded
to one student from the Department of Architecture,
BRAC University. Winners are selected through a
presentation by shortlisted students of third year. Selected
winners travel to a foreign country for a brief architectural
trip. Their experiences are later shared in a public
presentation showcasing the importance of travel in
architectural studies.
The 2019 Travel Bursary explored the many cultures across
Indonesia, documenting through sketches and illustrations,
the mythologies, architecture, culture and ways of life across
cities including Java, Jogyakarta, Malang, Surabaya and Bali.
